For the past few months, I’ve been working out solely at home. As my gym wasn’t open, I was forced to get used to rolling out my mat in my room or living room and try to get a sweat on. Sometimes it wasn’t fun, but I realized I gravitated to the same channels on YouTube and even the same videos, over and over again, for a reason. These videos/channels are effective and they keep me engaged and motivated for short bursts of time. I typically don’t want to spend an hour working out at home. I actually really enjoy being able to select a few short videos to smash and get in a shower all in under an hour. No commute, no waiting for machines, no contact with others! AND I’m supporting someone’s business by giving them views, likes, and feedback. I’ve since cancelled my gym membership and my yoga studio membership (I’m more sad about the yoga membership) to save money and reduce my chances of giving or getting the coronavirus.
So here are some videos that range from 10 to 30ish minutes that you can pull up next time you want to switch up your workout at home!
Arianna Elizabeth also has a great 30 day meditation challenge going on right now that I highly recommend getting into. They’re not super long but just long enough to really impact your day. Consistent meditation can greatly impact your life in countless different ways, but you’ll never know how it will impact you until you try it for yourself!
Remember, it’s all about balance and giving your body the rainbow of movement that it deserves. So try adding variety to the methods of exercise you choose to indulge in. Exercise your heart, your lungs, your muscles, your brain, and incorporate some yoga and stretching to work on balance, flexibility, and releasing tension.
