Hey, Y’all!
The past few weeks in my life have been a little insane. I’ve had shoots for school, papers due, work, dance rehearsals etc. and all of it just kind of hit me at once. Normally this kind of schedule would stress me out, this time though, I felt like I managed my stress instead of letting it manage me. Today’s post will be short, but I hope it is useful for you busy guys and gals out there!
- Lay It All Out.
Something that will always stress me out is knowing that I have a ton of stuff to do, but not knowing exactly what it all is or when it’s due. If you’re like this, I suggest you write everything down for yourself so that you can have a clear picture of exactly what it is that needs to be done. Keeping everything in your head is a sure fire way to forget to do something and that’s always stressful. When I do this, 9 times out of 10 I realize that I thought everything was worse than it actually is.
- Sing!
I bought my first car this past weekend (her name is Cherry)!!! Since buying Cherry, I’ve gotten into the habit of singing at the top of my lungs while driving around. I can’t tell you how therapeutic it has been. In a way, it’s like I’ve found a way to let out my aggressions and insecurities through my voice. So sing it out, or dance it out or do both!
3. Eat Well. Stay Hydrated.
Most people when they get stressed tend to eat crap, but this is the exact opposite of what should happen. Put it this way, stress does a lot of damage to the body and if you’re also feeding yourself shit food… well, that’s like putting the wrong fuel in your car and expecting it to perform normally.
4. Stretch.
Something that always calms me down and gets me thinking right again is taking some time to stretch. Take five or so minutes for yourself to check in with your body to see what it needs. Even light stretching can make a huge difference, so start incorporating it into your daily routine.
5. Sweat.
I’ve been really getting into working out lately and it has done wonders for my stress management! I find that when I take time out of my day to work my body, I am always in a better mood after and I approach my day differently, Sometimes I go to the gym for an hour, and other times I do an at-home workout for 15 minutes. It really doesn’t matter what you do, just do something you enjoy and get excited!
Alright, guys! Those are my tips for now! I hope you enjoyed the post and thank yfor ou reading. Talk to you all soon.
Stay Fabulous,
Gianna
