Easy Peasy Colorful Look

Hi everyone!

Today’s post is brought to you by summer and Mariah Leonard. There’s something so satisfying about bright looks in summer. So last week, when I saw a colorful makeup look on Instagram by Mariah Leonard (see here) I was instantly super inspired. Therefore, in an effort to avoid studying this past Sunday, I tried it out. The look, in my opinion, was awesome (and also super easy to accomplish).

Time to assemble your materials! You’ll need one (bright) yellow eye shadow, a flat eye shadow brush, a fluffy blending brush, and a small smudging brush. OK, ready for the super complicated instructions?

First, pack the yellow eye shadow all over your eyelid up to your crease (right above where you open your eye). Next, put some shadow on your fluffy brush and the fluff it around in the crease (see GIF).  Repeat these steps until you have the desired intensity. To make the color even brighter you can pick up the color and spray it with a setting spray before applying it (just to the lid!). The last step is to pick up eye shadow on the small smudger brush and apply it to your lower last line. You should also blend it out once there isn’t much eye shadow left on the brush.

Pretty simple, right? If you want to know what other makeup I used on my face please see below. Happy August!!
